Platter control issue DDJ SX2

Right side of the controller works perfectly just like a record player would. I hold the control platter or jog wheel on the right while the music is playing and the music stops. I let go and the music plays. I try the same on the left side and the music doesn’t stop when I hold the platter. Hoping it’s just a setting, but can’t figure out where to find platter control settings. Thanks
