Lifespan / Longevity for DDJ SR

Hi,

I wanted to know if there is an estimation of lifespan / longevity of a controler DJ such as the DDJ SR ? I'd like to buy a second hand controler, seller told me he bought in 2012. Its fully functional but it has already 5 years, and I would like to ask if controler Dj are supposed to have same lifespan as the CDJ / DJM which should last 10 years easily.
