PERFORMANCE MODE WITH CDJ2000NXS - LOOPS :( PLEASE HELP

So i have gone from a ddj sz a while ago to CDJ 2000s with a djm 750. When i made the switch i was happy with some things but not with others. I know they are completely different as i was using serato. 

Anyway, ive also now made the switch to Rekordbox 4 from serato and must say i do quite enjoy it. 

Here is my problem.. When a track is playing in rekordbox via my cdj2000nxs, the only auto loop i can select is a 4beat loop. Is there anywhere i can change this while mixing because i miss being able to use the needle search ect to change the loop length before it is set? 

I know you can press auto loop then use the arrows to make it shorter or longer (half or double)  but have not found any other way. It really bugs me. i know i can set in and out but im used to using it by auto loop.
