Have either of you tried using a different USB port, different USB cable, or a powered USB hub?
It was a hardware failure. Pioneer technical support approved a full warranty repair which was fantastic as it was about 2/3weeks out if warranty.

fader is broken. i removed it. pls use better quality components in your products. i regret getting pioneer. my first problem was play-pause button solder, now fader i dont know what is the next one.
