using Rekordbox via Midi using CDJ 900's & DJM700
Hi guys, I recently purchased a licence key to run rekordbox performance on compatible CDJs in the club I play in and this runs perfect!
However, I'd also like to use the software on my home setup using my laptop but cannot seem to sync the software from the laptop to my CDJ 900's (not nexus) & DJM 700 mixer.
The USB function using analysed rekordbox files works fine but I want to link my laptop too.
I purchased a Midi to USB cable to link my mixer to laptop but this doesn't seem to work and I can't work out why or even if it should?
Can what I am trying to achieve be accomplished or is my equipment simply too dated?
Any advice on how to sync (if possible) would be greatly appreciated.

@Danny > I wouldn't use the mixer as a MIDI device; use it to control the audio only. Use the CDJ-900's as your interface devices, output the audio to the mixer.

Your mixer does not need to be connected to your laptop at all, just your CDJs (using a USB-A to USB-B cable).
