[Solved] Disappointed with Rekodbox 4, keeps crashing not very impressive !
Hello, I own many Pioneer products CDJ2000s, SX2, CDJ400 and have been using Serato DJ which has never failed on me.
With the release of rekordbox 4 I though I would download and try it out to my amazement I keep getting unexpected application error !
I am running it on my music processing pc, not my DJ mac book pro, the pc is a I7, 3.4ghz Asus M.B. 16gigs memory, SSD running windows 7 64bit version.
The PC runs Serato DJ, Traktor flawlessly, not there should be no reason for Pioneer Rekord box to crash !!
I have a whole host of crash files that rekordbox has generated, not sure what to do with them.
Thank god I am not using this on the road, any help would be much appreciated, so I can evaluate this software that seems very unstable.
Thank you

Hello,
It might be a Window's video driver issue.
Please see the article "rekordbox closes soon after the application is launched." in the following page.
https://rekordbox.com/en/support/faq.php?c=172
Please try to update your video driver to the version which video card manufacturers provide on their site, as the Windows Update doesn't install the latest version.
Regards,
There are known issue with the graphic driver causes unexpected error.
Please update your driver to the latest version.
If your PC has intel graphic device, download from here:
http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/detect
If the issue does not fix by updating, go to [Preferences] of rekordbox -> [View] -> Waveform -> Set [Waveform Drawing Rate] as medium or low speed.
Thank you will try your suggestions
Thank you
YES! that did the trick
New nvidia drivers stopped the crashing
regards
I had the same experience, which also was fixed after I downloaded the latest NVIDIA drivers for my Win7 laptop.
I'll also add that I wasn't having any problems until I ran Windows Update. Something with the old NVIDIA drivers and the latest Microsoft OS updates must not jive.
