DDJ WeGo not picking up microphone input
I recently bought a ddj wego and am trying to connect a mic to it. I'm using it with algoriddum Djay 2 for iPad. I'm getting a humming when mic volume is up on the console but no other sound eg. It's not picking up my voice at all. I've updated to latest firmware on console and update iPad os. The mic and lead work perfectly straight into my Numark mixer but don't work with the DDJ-Wego controller - I would prefer to run it through this rather than my external mixer. Any tips? Thanks Nick

What kind of microphone are you using and what kind of cable?
It's a Shure mic with no on/off button and an XLR- 1/4 jack cord (mono). Both work fine on another mixer. Wondered if mic needed to have own power (like batteries?).
No, no power required - it should function properly with a TS connection (unbalanced), if you have a TRS it may not work properly.
