CDJ US to UK Power Issue

Afternoon everyone,

I'll cut a long story short... got a pair of CDJ1000MK3's, great condition given the age that they are.

They were originally from Canada (120v) and up until a few months ago I've been having constant issues with power. the 240-110v adapters I originally used were fine for several months, now though it seems I cant go 2-3 hours without them blowing and getting so hot it will blister your hand if you touch them. The adapters I were using were 240-110 45W and it says at the bottom of the plug (30VA-45VA - Not to be used for more than an hour)

does that mean the plug cant handle it? I've found 240-110 100W step down plugs and was also wondering whether that would make a difference given the extra wattage? Perhaps giving the plug more room to breathe and not get so hot?

*Also worth mentioning that my decks DO NOT have the voltage switch built in to match the region, I know some did, but mine is not that variant.
