File missing after exporting and removing HD
Hi there.
Can anyone advise please?
Just bought a new laptop and reinstalled Rekordbox etc.
I imported all my tracks from my hard drive then they were all successfully reanalysed.
Having now disconnected the hard drive planning to use the laptop to connect directly to my mixer I am getting the missing file message.
There seems very little point using the Rekordbox software when I can just connect the hd in that case.

If you imported the music from the external drive -- that's where they live, rekordbox simply indexes them from that location. When you remove the drive, you remove the connection to those files, thus missing songs.
Reconnect the drive, or copy them into your new computer's hard drive and relocate them at that new path.
