Shure needles no more

Shure is stopping production on their needles this summer. It almost feels like a April Fools joke but it was a month too late. 

For me I'll try to collect as much of the needles I can myself but fear the worst.

How will you deal with this? Go to Ortofon MKII product range? Get the japanese needles or give up entirely?
