[SOLVED] I have had my HDJ 2000's for a week now....

And they sound great, feel great, very happy with my purchase.  I was able to find the Pioneer Case (sold out every where, I mean everywhere) online but because there was a temporary back order I have not received them yet.  Anyway, I have read a lot of these forums, and I am not a DJ or a musician, if I can get 2-3 years out of these headphones it will warrant my purchase, at least in my mind.  I did have one question, I bought a pair of Beats and returned them because I was unimpressed, the HDJ 2000's have met/exceeded my expectations in every way.  I have read that buying a headphone amplifier, even a cheap $20 one will increase the sound volume and performance tremendously.  I only use my HDJ's on my phone currently and  I was just curious if it was worth it for me to buy a cheap little headphone amp.  Thank you for your time and effort.

Volume out of the HDJ-2000 should be fine- especially with teh foam pas cancelling most of the external sound. No need to get an amplifier unless u got hearing loss problems. 100dB is more than enough spl for headphones :)

I am 28 and I don't believe I have any hearing problems, I just like my music, movies, loud.  My car has a decent sound system in it and it is always on full blast.  I don't want to damage my hearing, and I did download a treble boosting app that did help "increase" the volume without affecting the bass in my music (I listen to a lot of rap) .  I saw this headphone amp that has gotten reviewed very well and its only $20 bucks, once again will the headphone give my headphones more power?  Thanks again, by the way I just wanted to add these headphones do "sound leak" but it is not a problem for me.

Really? well it wont be long before you do.

Gavin

You really don't need an amp for these headphones - if you want to preserve your hearing I would go without one.
