Rekordbox not Working on Mavericks

I downloaded the install file, unzipped it as directed then when i click on the file to install i get a message saying this operation is invalid or something along them lines.

Could someone put an idiot proof list describing from start to finish the process & any other software needed for extraction etc.

Links would also help.
