DJM 850K Recording problems

I just bought my DJM850k and I do a radio mix show that I record every week.  I recorded my  first show with my 850 through the rec outs in back of the mixer.  And when I played the recording back I noticed when I do that reverb effect when you cut the volume off of 1 of the channels and the reverb tale just keeps going and then you bring the volume back up at the kick again on the recording it drops out completely when you bring the volume all the way down.  Is there anyway this can be avoided.  I use a small microtrack  (sorry it's not Pioneer) recorder that has worked really well.  I heard you can record thru the usb on top of the mixer but I would have to buy a new recording device for this.  Any help on this would be appreciated.

Thanks,

DJ Raffi S

You've likely got the effect assigned to the channel and not the master; the effect comes back in pre-fader, so when you cut the fader, you're cutting the effect also.  If you assign the effect to the master, the effect will continue when you cut the fader.
