DJM 900 Nexus channel 2 shut down

Hi, was using my gear tonight and cueing up my next track on deck 2 when channel 2 shut down on me on my mixer.. No audio at all would come through it, I initially thought that it was an issue with my 2000 nexus as I have also had a few problems with that but when I put the phono cables into channel 3 everything worked ok. I checked and double checked that I had not done something myself but it was 100% an issue with the mixer. Luckily I was just getting some practice in and could switch the mixer off for a bit and when I switched it back on channel 2 was back up. Any ideas?

This stuff is just over a month old and i've already had a few issues with 1 of the cdj's

@John > Was this just with channel 2 and the rest of the mixer was unaffected? Are you sure there were no loose connections anywhere? Could the cable be the problem?

Hi Gavin, double checked the connections and all the gain/input selections etc before shifting the phono's over onto channel 3.. all good. Moved them back to channel 2 and nothing. Not even as much as a led lighting up on the channel level lights, actually stood and checked every setting on 2 was the same as I had just had it running on 3, tried switching the input selector clockwise then back to line-in incase this reset something but nothing worked.. My phone rang at this point and I switched the 900 off for possibly around 30 seconds before turning it back on, channel 2 was again working with all the cables/knobs sitting in the exact same position as they were in when it wouldn't work previously. I'm running the supplied phono cables through the line in, I imagine the chances of both phonos on the 1 siamese cable going down at the same time must be slim

@John > Thats interesting. I would recommend returning the unit to an authorised service centre for a service to see what they say. I understand you are still within warranty so no cost will have to be borne by you.
