XDJ-1000 MK2 distorted sound on right channel (on 2 units)

Hi, I bought 3 XDJ-1000 MK2s at the end of December 2018. 2 of them have developed a fault over the last week where the right channel output is distorted, particularly noticeable on the mids/highs. I've tried 2 mixers and it's the same on both. Tried 3 different USB sticks. Tried tracks exported with RB and not. Even downloaded a tune again from Beatport to make sure my files aren't corrupt. Tried different leads also. Speakers are fine too. The mixers are fine with other audio sources, and 1 of the 3 players is fine, so it must be that 2 of them are faulty.

When you switch the RCA leads L>R the distortion moves to the other speaker.

All of the XDJs have the latest firmware installed. Anyone got any idea what could be wrong?

Cheers

Multiple units having the same failure sounds problematic - and you've diagnosed them properly to show it's not a faulty cable (thanks!), so unfortunately I'll have to direct you to please contact Pioneer DJ technical support in your region to have your XDJs inspected and/or serviced.

Hi guys,

I'm late but did you managed to get this solved?

I have exactly the same issue with one of my two XDJ-1000MK2.

Many thanks, Alex

Yeah, I got the players replaced on warranty 👍

Alexander Wördekemper

Great :)

How did you managed to get them replaced on warranty, because they were older than one year? Mine are out of one year warranty too.

@Alexander > At the time this post was created, @David's units were 2 months old. I'm sorry if yours are out of warranty when this has occurred. Please contact a Pioneer DJ authorized service centre in your region to have your hardware inspected and/or repaired.
