DDJ-REV1 Crossfader issue

Hi all, I have just purchased by Rev1 and I'm worried there might be a hardware issue, I'm really hoping it's software!

The left hand side of the crossfader cuts in about 2 cms in regardless of the different crossfader settings within the utility function. The right side of the crossfader is fine and works as expected (cuts in at a couple of millimeters).

I have also placed crossfader in reverse/hampster and it still only occurs on the left side.

Is there something I am missing about being able to adjust the crossfader on just one side?

Help really appreciated, feeling gutted that this may not be working!
