I'm running Rekordbox 4.0.5 on both a Macbook Air 1.6Ghz i5 8GB as on a Macbook Pro 2.3 i7 8GB. Also Traktor user on MBP. No problem at all.
@Christophe Do you use El Capitan ?
@DJ FADY > Can you please post a screen shot of the MEMORY and CPU tabs of the Activity Monitor while running? I have a MBP with i7 / 16GB RAM running Yosemite and I never have a problem with rekordbox taking up too much memory.
@Giona on one laptop yes, on the other no. But RB running fine on both.
@Pulse @Christophe
Since i use RB in its basic version (rel. 4.0.5) to manage my library and export to my USB sticks only, would you consider safe updating to El Capitan ?Thanks

the problem happened when i use rekordbox and traktor running at the same time,i tried to use the older version 3.3.0 with traktor everything is ok without problems
Yeah, rekordbox 4 uses more system resources than rekordbox 3, that's normal. Even using 1GB of RAM shouldn't be an issue for your system, with 8GB available to it.
I would not recommend running Traktor and rekordbox simultaneously even on a brand new system tweaked to the hilt.
