Pioneer CDJ 3000 Power Voltage

A family member purchased a CDJ 3000 unit through Amazon as a gift and It’s my understanding that the power Voltage in the US is 110v.

Are the CDJ 3000’s in the USA set at 100-240V 50/60 Hz as per the link Or are they set at 110V only? Making them useless in the rest of the world.

The voltage where i am situated is 230v / 50Hz.
Would a unit purchased from the USA work in South Africa?

Thank you in advance.

On the bottom of my 3000 unit (purchased in Australia), it lists the power requirements as "110-240V~ 50/60Hz 40W"

Hi All,

The below is from Pioneer DJ technical support in Japan.

"Actually, in terms of the power voltage itself, the CDJ-3000 originally manufactured for the USA can be used in South Africa. However, the warranty will be invalid if you use such products in other countries than the targeted country. "

They don't want to admit it but all units are then universal (100-240V 50/60 Hz 40W) this makes sense in a production sense, however, The moment you cross countries you forfeit your warranty as the unit then becomes a grey import.

I hope this helps.

It's not a matter of not admitting that they are multi-voltage or not; the same does not apply to all products, and the other aspect is also correct - the warranty will not be honoured in another region.
