DDJ 1000 DVS

Hi,

I am looking to add two turntables to my DDJ 1000 to run DVS. I have read the phrase 'DVS Compatible' online but not entirely sure what this means - does this mean i would not have to purchase the Interface 2 but just purchase the DVS time code vinyl?

How do i access the DVS function on Rekbordbox 5?

Thanks

Hey Craig,

That means the DDJ-1000 has the capability of supporting DVS signal input to the software. It does not come with the unlock for that feature, which would require the subscription to a plan that includes it, or connecting a hardware device which unlocks it automatically (such as an Interface2, or DDJ-XP1/XP2).

Also, what does this mean for Rekordbox 6, will i still need to purchase a plan to unlock DVS or will it work automatically as the DDJ 1000 is a hardware unlocked device?

Thanks

@ Pulse

the advice above about the Interface 2 plugging into a DDJ 1000 to unlock DVS is contrary to what ive been told from pioneer support. They have said that the interface isnt compatible and the only way to unlock DVS on a DDJ 1000 is via a subscription.

can anyone reading this, or through experience and actually seen it, confirm that the interface will indeed work with a DDJ 1000 for DVS purposes.

i dont want to pay the subscription and the interface 2 software unlock was/is appealing but im getting conflicting messages as to it actually being possible

Having done it myself, I can tell you it is. ;)
