XDJ 1000 mk2 loop auto saving to cue button

I am having a problem with loops saving to the cue button. If I loop the track then exit the loop and hit cue to return to beginning it now jumps back to the inactive loop point not the cue as already saved. This is not hot cue by the way but the normal cue button. Firmware is up to date 1.42, I presume this is in the settings on the software but I have had no luck finding it yet?
