Interface 2 and USB-C (New Macbook models)
Hi everyone,
I would like to hear from Pioneer DJ official support personnel as well as from other users, about how Pioneer DJ mixers/interface and Rekordbox are performing over USB-C. Especially on the new macbook pro line up.
I currently use a Macbook Air Mid-2013 core i5 1.3GHz 8GB RAM, with Traktor Scratch Pro, and the timecode works like a charm on a Traktor Audio 6.
I also own a DJM-450 that came with a Rekordbox DJ and DVS licenses.
I'm strongly considering migrating to Rekordbox DVS, since the launch of the Interface 2. But also, the time has arrived for my old Macbook Air.
I would like to know:
- Does anyone have tested the Rekordbox DVS with the new Macbook 12" and USB-C? Or the new Macbook Pro 13" w/o touch bar? How stable they are?
- It's safely to play on a Macbook 12" with the interface/mixer connected through a USB-C Hub plus and additional midi controller (e.g., Novation Dicer)? Since this computer has only ONE usb-c port
- By any chance, someone already tried to connect the Rekordbox Interface 2 on the new Macbook Pro with a USB-B to USB-C cable? Like the ones from Belkin: http://www.belkin.com/us/p/P-F2CU035/
- Which is better: one USB-C port with a Hub (Macbook 12") or two USB-C ports (one exclusively for audio interface and the other one for charging + midi controller) like on the Macbook Pro 13"?
Thank you.

Just to complement, I made a table to help me to choose the better model. The prices are in swiss francs (pretty close to US dollar, but US is cheaper in general). Everyone can see and comment: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1E82keetzDUDRFYfqmHbuTCxktesYT7OhSzMio3SkUGc/edit?usp=sharing
Thanks.
