DDJ-1000: No RCA Output (Master Out 2)
Dear Pioneer community,
I hope you can help with this matter:
I am trying to use RCA as second master out on my DDJ-1000. However, I do not hear any sound, when I connect this output with external speakers or Roland Go:Mixer.
- XLR a master out 1 (connected with XLR monitors) and headphone output work normally.
- Master out 2 worked normally when I was using it multiple times last December. Also just tested the cable with a different device.
- I am using a 3.5mm to 2-male RCA adapter, which has been working fine when I was using it multiple times last December. Since then, the adapter was properly stored in a box.
- There is no (externally visible) damage or whatsoever
- DDJ-1000 is selected as master output in Rekordbox
My settings:
I was thinking what I have changed since December which could be possible causes:
- Updated rekordbox
- Updated DDJ-1000 firmware
- Updated DDJ-1000 driver (uninstall and reinstall)
- Installed SoundFlower and uninstalled it
- Installed Blackhole and uninstalled it
- Installed Jackaudio/Jack2 and uninstalled it
However, I just installed Rekordbox on my work computer and it creates the same result as described above. Also set the Rekordbox settings back to default on my Macbook.
I would be more than happy if you have any thoughts on this and could help me troubleshooting and solving this.
Thank you!
Tobi

This may have something to do with it...
You're showing a phantom device there. See how there's two DDJ-1000's listed?
I'm not sure what you've done to get that to happen unless you somehow had a second DDJ-1000 connected at some point.
