Restore Collection - failed to restore the collection - Rekordbox Version 6.7.1

Hi guys, really need some assistance. 

I have just backed up my library using rekordbox 5.8 on my old iMac.

I want to restore my collection on my new macbook pro running macOS Monterey V12.6.5. 

I am using the free version of rekordbox.

When I try to restore my collection, I received this error with no other explanations.

Restore Collection - failed to restore the collection 

I have looked around on the forum and I note that this error has been posted before for older versions of RB, but there has no response.

Can someone from Pioneer please assist ?

Your backup was made with RB 5.8, so you should restore to Rekordbox 5.8, once that is done you can migrate from Rekordbox 5 to Rekordbox 6 (RB6 prompts you for that)

I followed the migration instructions as per this video prepared by one of the pioneer developers.

If you view the video, your instructions do not match theirs.

Are you suggesting the current workflow?

I install RB 5.8 on my new macbook
Restore the collection
Upgrade to RB6

Is RB 5.8 still available to download?

Yup that is what I suggest.

RB 5 and RB 6 use totally different databases, it's not possible for RB6 to restore a RB5.
