WHY BUY AS-1 IF STILL NO MIDI FOR SP-16?
I'm sure everyones been tired posting abd reading by now, but has anyone thought to raise to the question to why the new proposed MIDI option of 1.2 still isn't fully operational?
I have roland synthesizer (JD-XI) pulled in, followed the official Pioneer instructions and still can't get a sound signal. Although I do see all of the functions in place as presented, it just doesn't full perform. I wonder if there's a missing piece to this puzzle some on the Pioneer team could educate us of. After all, The AS-1 is going for $500 U.S.
I wouldn't want to get something I can't connect to this beast.

Having just used the SP-16 and AS-1 together at the NAMM Show with a beta firmware on the SP-16, I can tell you, it does work, and it's GLORIOUS!
Soon enough. ;)
I will add that the synthesizer works perfectly in sample mode as well as its rich and clear sound coming from the mixer and speakers...
