Change the speed of a song being played with sync enabled
What is the fastest way to change the speed of a song playing with or without sync enabled?
Also, is there a procedure that returns a song playing to the original pitch without having to drag the pitch slider back and forth until the original speed is reached?

Have you tried Tempo Reset, the small button next to the tempo slider?
On my RX3 , I don't have the Tempo Reset button...
Sorry thinking CDJs. Because it protects from a mistaken deactivation of SYNC, you still need to disengage and then move the pitchfader to get back to the other bpm.
