I tried up update my firmware to version 1.02.

It was giving me an "error to connect USB" even though it is connected.
According to the guide, when this happens, it is best to uninstall the previous driver and install the new.

I am still getting that error. Even when I try to reinstall the old driver

Reinstalling the old version or the new version is not working at this moment. So the unit is nothing but a paperweight now.

I am running a 2012 MacBook Pro
2.6Ghz Quad Core i7
16GB ram
Mac OS 10.15.1 Catalina

I really need help badly getting this firmware.

We identified that an error message appears when updating the firmware on macOS Catalina 10.15. If you fail to update the firmware, please follow the helpful instructions in “Tips: If you are still unable to update the firmware” in the Firmware Update Guide.
