Switching to Rekordbox
I placed an order for the cdjs 2k nexus. I am a serato user but looking to switch over to RB. So here is my question. It is my understanding that SSL stores the cue points right on the mp3, where does RB keep them stored? I'm not looking to bring the cue points over to RB, just want to make sure I can use the same mp3 for both without overwriting or deleting cue points from either (RB or SSL). Or does everyone keep a separate drive for RB and other DVS

I have the same question, the only difference is that I use Traktor. I really wouldn't like to have Rekordbox overwrite whatever tags I have in my MP3 files.
Really strange I can't find the answer for it in any place!! :-(
you do not have to keep them separate, for a while i use RB and serato until I was confident in RB working in a professional environment. Because RB writes to its own database, this has no effect on the serato cue points and data so yes, you can use the same MP3 for RB and Serato without issues
