DDJ-1000 Multiple Issues

Just got a DDJ-1000 and there are several issues with the right deck:

Channel 2 will load up a track, and I can skip to cue points, but the channel won't play at all, even if I hold down cue. Also, two of the pad LEDs and the Loop In/Out, Loop Exit, and Slip Reverse LEDs do not work.

The right jog wheel does not backspin while a track is playing, regardless of Vinyl Mode being on or off.

Lastly, not sure if this is a rekordbox or hardware issue, but the audio output from the controller crackles. I saw some solution suggestions to resolve this and tried them, but the issue still happens.

@Ryan > Check and make sure you don't have DVS mode enabled and possibly have it set to REL or ABS; that would mean the deck is expecting timecode to control it, and this is not affected by the "vinyl mode" of the player itself.

As for the audio crackling, that's more likely your computer -- what's the CPU / RAM / OS you're using?

Ryan Fong

I don't have a DVS license, so it's definitely not enabled.

I have an i7 processor with 16 GB RAM and am running Windows 10.

Have you updated the firmware on the DDJ?

Does this happen consistently?

Can you get a video of this happening?

Ryan Fong

Firmware is up to date (version 1.07). It happens fairly consistently, going away sometimes, but it almost always happens when I boot up the DDJ.

This link is to a video of the issue happening:
