CDJ 2000 NXS2 error - 'waiting' message appears onscreen

Hello

I was playing out on Friday on a pair of CDJ 2000 NXS2's. Both players were linked and I had my Samsung 3.1 usb stick (64gb capacity) connected in one of the players. I can't recall which track was playing, but when I attempted to load a track, the screen then reverted to 'waiting'. I was unable to exit this screen. On the other player, I attempted to eject the other usb which was connected (to connect my back up usb) and then it stopped the music that was playing - a dj's nightmare! (I suspect this occurred because all players were linked?)
Could this 'waiting' message be due to a track loading error? A corrupt audio file? What can I do if this happens in future?

More likely that the player had an issue reading the USB drive you had connected.

Pioneer DJ does not guarantee 100% compatibility with any USB drive. Functionality of one drive does not guarantee functionality of another identical make / model drive. Manufacturers are known to change the memory controller chip per availability or cost, and as a result, there is always a chance that a drive may not be compatible with the player host chipset. Recommendations or the results of another user may not be the same for you and your drive.
