Help needed regarding connecting a soundbar that has a HDMI connector to my DJM 700 that doesn't have HDMI.
Hi! Quick question before I buy some booth speakers.
I have a Panasonic Soundbar and bass speaker that is Connectable only by HDMI cable. Im using CDJ 850s with a DJM 700. Just basically teaching myself. Was going to buy some Monitor speakers for the setup but as I have a spare soundbar and bass speaker, i was wondering if theres any chance of using this instead of new speakers. I assume not, but I have seen some RCA/HDMI splitters for sale on the internet and am wondering if they will do the trick.?

I believe splitters are designed to take the signal input from a digital source (HDMI) and split it to analog outputs (RCA). Since the DJM-700 is outputting analog only, I'm afraid a splitter wouldn't work. To be honest, you would be better off purchasing a pair of simple, cheap monitor speakers. You want to have a concise left/right stereo setup, especially if you're just starting out.
