Ripping vinyl through djm750mk2
Recording to audacity, is an external sound card necessary/advantageous?
Or is the sound card in the mixer enough?
I have a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 (2nd gen)

No; you can record directly through the DJM-750MK2's audio interface into software.
