DDJ-400 Cross Fader problem

Hello fellow forum users,

I write to you because I have a cross fader problem with my ddj-400. When I set it to middle on the controller then it shows it on rekordbox as if it is located at far right towards the deck 2.

Perhaps someone could help me how to solve this kinda software issue (I think)?

Do you have the crossfader properly assigned for each channel in the Mixer panel of rekordbox?

Reimu

Yes I do. Currently I need to adjust the crossfader on the middle of the deck 1 side to have the sound of both decks. If you check the picture you see. On the controller the crossfader is in the middle but recordbox identifies it as being 100% on deck 2.

Hi, just wanna to say that i have the exact same problem, but oppsite, 100% on deck 1 when crossfader are in the middle. Have you got any more comments on this, or did you solve it by yourself?

@Paul > Can you make a video showing the hardware and software faders at the same time moving from left to right and back a couple of times?

Paul Blomgren

How do I do to show the movie?

That was perfect - thanks. Tremendously weird! It's like the entire data transmission is being sent in half of the travel. I think it may be a hardware calibration issue, but let me see what the engineers say.

Keiko

Hello Paul and all,

Please select the lowest 0.3mm at the Crossfader Cutlag setting from Preferences in rekordbox.
If this method does not work, you need to send the unit to an authorized service center to check the calibration.

Thanks,

I have now tried this method without any change.

So now the check is on the way to an authorized service center.

Thanks for the help.

This is a super easy fix if your mixer is still broken. When using rekordbox go into thee settings tab, Controller, Mixer, then at the very bottom theres a 'Cross Fader' tab. There is a reverse check-box in that, thats where you can turn it on/off.

Hello,

I have exactly the same issue as described and posted in youtube ... only my cross fade is 1/3 in the left deck when centered... - so only solution is to return it ?

Thanks

Constantin Tannhaeuser

Hey guys, did anyone of you how to fix it? I have the same problem and i dont know whats wrong..

Paul Blomgren

Hello Constantin,

i had exactly the same problem and I returned it to the shop where i bought it from. After coming to the conclusion that the cross fade was faulty they replaced it. The work/cost etc was covered by the guarantee. Good luck!

Either adjust the crossfader lag setting to be a larger value, or if that doesn't work, please please contact Pioneer DJ technical support in your region to have your hardware inspected and/or serviced.
