XDJ-1000MK2 "This product is for general household purposes."
Good Afternoon, I am looking for some clarity.
A post on reddit about industry standard gear lead to a sub-thread about the XDJ-1000mk2 and how the warranty doesn't cover it if used in clubs. As many couldn't believe this to be true we dug up the quick start manual and:
This product is for general household purposes. Any failure due to use for other than household purposes (such as long-term use for business purposes in a restaurant or use in a car or ship) and which requires repair will be charged for even during the warranty period K041_A1_En
Which is the same disclaimer found on consumer Pioneer products like Bluetooth audio adapters.
I was able to find the same disclaimer on the XDJ-700 and some of the lower level controllers like the DDJ-SB3; However, it is not found on the manuals for things like the DDJ-1000.
The XDJ-700s and lower level controllers I can understand but is it really true Pioneer won't warranty the XDJ-1000mk2 when used professionally? Should it not be classed the same as say the CDJ-900 (which does not carry the household disclaimer)? Even the CDJ-850 didn't carry the household disclaimer.

Unusual, but we certainly wouldn't say "no" if it was used in a club.
I'll pass this along to the document team for review.
