Can't activate version 5

Hi there,
Have a key from a long time ago (approximately 10 years), received a start up warning using RB4, that it needed updating. However, when trying to activate, it keeps giving me Error 4, bad internet.
My internet is fine, firewalls are switched off. Any ideas?

Is the old key somehow not applicable for the newer versions?
