Pioneer DDJ Asio (not connected)
Hi guys,
I have an ‘audio device’ problem with a Pioneer DDJ T1 I recently bought. When I want to select the Pioneer DDJ Asio driver in Traktor, it keeps giving me a ‘(not connected)’ message.
I did several things to solve the problem:
- I checked the installation process I ran through and everything is okay, according to me (first install software + driver, install updates, connect DDJ T1 via USB, set DDJ T1 ‘on’, startup Traktor).
- Reinstalled all software to make sure everything was okay.
- Changed USB ports
- Changed USB cabels
- I tried to run Traktor’s setup wizard, but it immediately gives me a message that the hardware will be configured and I can only click on ‘finish’ so it will go back to the default settings.
- Checked for a USB driver update for my HP Pavilion DV7 laptop (Windows 7, 64 bit), but there were none (I did found a chip driver update, which was available and I installed it).
- I checked the Device manager in Windows Configuration and I see that the Pioneer DDJ T1 is connected (although it’s an unknown device).
- I disconnected my firewall and virus software.
I tried all these things, but still the Pioneer DDJ Asio is not connected.
When I use the Pioneer DDJ T1 wasapi (share mode), I do get sound and everything works okay, but that not the way it should work.
Please, what could be the problem and how can I solve it….? Thanks!

Solved the problem by rebooting my laptop ;-).
Haha, a simple resolution in the end! Thanks for reporting back!
