DJM 900 sleep mode

Hi All,

I have got a DJM 900 and if it is left on for a period of time it seems to go into a sleep mode. Is this standard operating process for this mixer. Is there anyway to get it out of sleep mode, short of powering it off and on again?

Many thanks

Jim

hit the wake up button

I hit that and it didn't do anything. Is it just a tap

Button or do you have to hold it down? Cheers

Disable the sleep mode - it's a power saving feature, but not necessary for every user. You can disable it in the club setup menu, access that by holding the UTILITY button while powering-on the mixer. Use the < and > buttons to scroll through and find AUTOSTB, then press the TAP button to change the setting, then press one of the < > keys to store it. Power cycle the mixer and it will retain that setting.

same question here, so you cannot wake the DJM900 up after it went into sleep mode?

Pulse

If you can not wake it, please try powering down the mixer and changing the preference using the settings above. If the mixer still enters the "Sleep" state but does not have the auto-standby enabled, there may be a fault with the mixer, which would require servicing. Should that be the case,** please contact Pioneer technical support for additional information**.

Thanks for the reply Pulse. Yeah I turned the function off in the menu now, it does not bother me that much.

Mixer is like 2 months old so hope a future firmware update will solve it or something. All else works fine and I need it every weekend so cannot afford to loose income for something so minor...

Pulse

I'll keep you posted about the firmware.

Does the auto standby mode somehow preserve laser life even if you are just using USB drives?  I would assume the laser stays off completely until it is needed.  I don't care about power/electricity costs.
