We need Djm2000nxs to support Serato.
Hi
It has been a trend to find many pioneer Dj equipment to be listed as Serato official Hardware or accesory
It is dissapointing to find that Pioneer's best dj mixer is not in that list. With all the advanced features like; advanced HID support, top class internal soundcard etc still we need to use an external soundcard in order to use the mixer with Serato. The Idea of connecting this advanced mixer through other boxes looks so improper to us. We have tried to check with Serato team, it seems there are parts that pioneer has to play for them to consider making Djm 2000 nexus official Hardware.
We would like pioneer team to consider making some steps to see if that can be done. I find it strange to see even entry level controllers like Ddj-Wego are classified as Official Serato Hardware thus they unlock serato only with their internal Souncards While DJM2000 mixer is being descriminated as having unsuitable soundcard to unlock Serato Software by itself, really strange.

Sorry, but the DJM-2000/nexus was not designed / marketed as a Serato DJ compatible mixer. Technically and officially, only the DJM-900SRT (and new DJM-S9) are Serato-compatible mixers, Serato went ahead on their own and created compatibility for the DJM-850 and DJM-900nexus.
I understand the frustration when you compare the DJM-2000nexus to the DDJ-WeGO and the WeGO has Serato compatibility but the DJM-2000 does not, but again, that unit was designed for Serato.
By trial, i was able to get Djm2000 and Pioneer Xdj1000 players work with serato by connecting my spare Numark Mixdeck express to unlock serato, then I took (little soldering inside) mixdeck right and left decks outputs to Djm2000 line 1 and 2 inputs. The 2 xdj 1000 are official accessories it was easy to connect and assign them as deck 1 and 2. I was then able to midi map Djm2000 crossfader as serato video crossfader. So at the end Iam able to put the Djm2000 and xdj1000 on top of the desk and Perform. Once connected, i have no need to touch the Mixdeck express. its put aside or under the desk.
Basically you're using the Mixdeck as an SL box...
It was never built to work with Serato - it's not a Serato mixer. This has nothing to do with price, it has to do with the partnership between Serato DJ and Pioneer DJ, and the need and want of the market for specific functionality. The DJM-2000 was designed as a performance piece to pair with our CDJ-2000's which take the computer out of the equation; mix entirely from USB or SD sources. Yes, it does have MIDI capability, and why not? You've got a gorgeous touch-screen at your disposal, so why not integrate additional PC-friendly features?
This is a great "mix utility" for a DJ. If it's not the right mixer for you, take a look at our other offerings.
