Do linked players show "played" track status

sorry if this has been asked before, i tried a quick search but nothing meaningfull showed up...

i am aware there is a played tracks history being saved on the rekordbox database but i still havent found any info if, while browsing tracks, the previously played ones are marked, either with different color, icon, etc

some video i saw mentioned that adding tracks to tag list would put a checkmark close to them, and that when played the checkmark would change color from red to green, what i did not understand is if this color coding also works outside of tag list

BriChi

yes, once a track has been played and added to history (i believe after 45 seconds of play time) it turns the track dark green

Gavin

Correct, the track has to have been playing for a specified length of time before it will be displayed as _already played. _This is in case the DJ wants to play some samples from a track but save the full track for later in the set.

Nonnus

thank you so much for you super quick replies brichi and gavin :)

just to confirm, this feature is available even without using tag lists ?

is this exclusive to cdj 2000 ?

or do any other rekordbox cdjs (350, 850, 900) also "mark" played tracks ?

Pulse

Yes, they all mark them but the non-2000 models show them with a note icon instead, this is regardless of the tag list.

Nonnus

awesome, i am much more relaxed now!

(couple of years using dj software, serato itch, already made me lazy enough for such a feature to be considered important :)

thanks a lot for your impressive responsiveness pulse,

it is quite refreshing to arrive at a new forum and not having all my questions dismissed by excessive loyal fanboys and get useful and insightful replies instead, and fast as hell too!, uber kudos, this is a pearl in the internet forums ocean ;)
