Remove file path limit of 255 characters for non-FAT32 systems

As it says here, the file path limit of 255 characters is due to FAT32 limitations.

But why is the 255 character limit kept in place for all file systems? Couldn't it at least be removed for non-FAT32 systems?

It's baked-in for universal compatibility on things like cloud-sync where some device on the way may still have FAT32. Sorry!

I haven't come across this limitation with any other software. Wouldn't it be possible to change it? Or at least to make a non-FAT32 compatible version of rekordbox without this limitation?

Pulse

I understand that but those applications aren't rekordbox and aren't having to prepare a USB drive for your CDJ.
