Recover music and cue points from USB device

 Hi,

A story you've heard a thousand times before; lost all data on my laptop. My entire library is stored on my USB and I want to get it back into my RB collection with out loosing the cue points that I've meticulously placed. I would like to keep my  playlists as well but they are not as important. 

My RB is the latest version and I've followed the instructions in this article:

However after clicking "Import Playlist"  I receive an error message:  "Cannot import playlist, all songs in the list do not exist in collection or the list is empty"

I really hope this can be fixed because I think this is a big feature missing. Thanks in advance for all your help!
