MIdi mapping all 32 pads in PAD EDITOR

When re-assigning pads in the REKORDBOX PAD EDITOR on both the DDJ-XP1 and DDJ-XP2, the left 16 PERFORMANCE PADS and right 16 PERFORMANCE PADS 'over ride' each other, respectively,  and from both sides.

For example:

If PAD 4 MODE is re-assigned as USER 1 PERFORMANCE PADS for say the DEFAULT LIGHTING TEMPLATE, and PAD 8 MODE is re-assigned as USER 2 PERFORMANCE PADS for say a CUSTOMISED LIGHTING TEMPLATE

Initially, both USER 1 PADS and USER 2 PADS are successfully assigned.

However, when triggering PADS on USER 1 PAD MODE 4, PADS on USER 2 PAD MODE 8 get reset to USER 1 and vice versa

This occurs in any combination. ie PAD MODE 4/PAD MODE7, ASSIGN 1/ASSIGN 2 etc etc

How can PADS be re-assigned for say LIGHTING MODE to get the full 32 PAD functionality?
