Can no longer analyze tracks using external HDD as master database

I can no longer analyze new tracks in either my windows 10 PC nor my MacOS monterey laptop (master DB stored on HDD). When I try to import a new track the analyze progress bar wont move, it gets stuck at 0%. If i try to add another track then rekordbox crashes altogether. This happens on both computers running different OS. I tried turning wifi off but no success. Is there a solution to this?
