sending in my DDJ 1000?

while using my DDJ 1000 i noticed it was finally not so tight, it was breaking in i thought.  But when this started something else started. The channel fader would not travel completley to the top any more. there was a small gap and now when i bring the channel down its still on. If i knudge it up slightly its off. Its so loos now its obviously broken  i dont really SLAM my faders. Im sure i will need to send it in for a repair but am curious as to how this works?
