DDJ-SB2 & Rekordbox (MAC)
Hi,
I have a DDJ-SB2 controller that I used to dj with using Serato, but I would l like to switch to Rekordbox.
I read that Rekordbox version 6 wasn't compatible with DDJ-SB2, so I downloaded Rekordbox version 5 that is supposed to be compatible with DDJ-SB2 on the core plan. Unfortunately, I can't manage to buy and activate a Core Plan licence for Rekordbox version 5, I can only do it for Rekordbox version 6. How can I buy and activate a licence for Rekordbox version 5 ? Is there another way to use DDJ-SB2 with Rekordbox ?

Hey Leopold,
The SB2 is compatible with rekordbox, both v5 and 6, however it would require a license key for 5 or a subscription for 6, and there are no more license sales for v5. You could try and purchase one second-hand, however we can't guarantee it will work as we've seen some users get burned by the original owner not deactivating it and we can only deactivate it for the original registered owner.
That leaves the two options of a subscription, or purchasing a sub-controller like the XP1 or XP2 which unlock rekordbox performance mode to use the SB2.
If that changes anything, I am using a Mac
