Quality of CDs

Does it really make a difference if I use a Verbatim or a Taiyo Yuden Gold versus using a regular burnable disc I can get at Staples?

Andy Hebberd

What I would ask is how much cheaper and is it worth the risk?

Gavin

With lower quality CDs you are likely to end up with more "coasters". Better quality CDs are recognised to be better to burn to (more stable). You could very well find that the Staples CDs work just fine for you - it's a case of brand vs non-brand - would you use Heinz ketchup or Del Monte ketchup?

thanks for da feedback gavin

Gavin

You're welcome. Thinking a little more about your question, if you are burning the CDs for your own use I'd spend a little more than store brand CDs. If you are burning CDs just to give out as promo items then you could go with the cheaper options.
