DDJ-1000 Cross Fader Problem

Hello,

For the entirety of the time I've had my DDJ-1000, the cross fader has moved very freely, with almost 0 resistance. I've even bumped it a few times and accidentally faded entirely out of a track by accident (as in it slid all the way to one side). Every other fader on my unit feels pretty good. I previously used the 350 series (DJM + CDJs) and am used to that feel, so this was pretty odd to me. I assumed that since this was a software dependent controller it would need a setting tweak to change the fader slide speed, but I haven't found anything about it and my google searches are to no avail. The manual doesn't say anything about it either. I'm assuming this is just a hardware issue? Any and all help is appreciated.
