Installing XDJ-ZX Audio Driver on Mac and error message E-8307
Hey guys,
Just got my XDJ-ZX, looks promising, however I run into two small issues:
- I cannot intsall the Audio Driver on Macos Big Sur. It returns an error at the end of the install script and leaves me without installed driver.
I tried all the steps mention in https://www.pioneerdj.com/-/media/pioneerdj/downloads/other/troubleshooting/troubleshooting_highsierra_or_later_e.pdf however, this does not help. Any clues on this one?
- I have two USB drives both used in my CDJ's (NXS2) and on of them loads without trouble, the second one won't load and returns an error E-8307. Now there's a thread somewhere stating I need to cange the library type under the menu item "Preferences > CDJ & Device > Device", but I can't seem to find this option. Strange thing is that it sometimes does work, seems to be linked to using the second drive simultaneously.
Does anyone have a clue on the above topics?

Unfortunately BigSur is not yet supported; please see the official news post from November 10th advising that customers wait before upgrading.

As for the drive, you don't need to change the library type unless you're using an XDJ-R1. What is the make/model of the drive, how is it formatted, and is it only when loading certain songs / playlists?
Alright, thanks for the quick reply on this one. Must have missed that one. In regards to the driver, I will wait untill a new version will be released.
As for the drive, it's a Sandisk Extreme PRO USB 3.1 drive, formatted for a Mac OS Extended (Journaled) file system.
It's weird, when I only use this drive it won't load and return the error as mentioned above, however if I use another drive alongside (which loads nearly instantly) it will eventually load and play all available songs.
When using USB3.1 drives with most Pioneer DJ products, you're likely to encounter issues as for some reason they're not quite as backwards-compatible as their 3.0 siblings. Please try using a different drive if that error continues.
Thanks again. After reformatting the drive to MS-FAT it works like a charm now.
