External mode on an All-in-one DJ controller

Hi there,
Is it possible to use a Pioneer DJ controller in external mode on Rekordbox?
For instance, use a DDJ-800 or a DDJ-400 to control the transport controls (play, cue, etc.), set it as External (Mixer Mode) and route the output channels from my audio interface to my analog mixer. I've done it with modular midi controllers like the Traktor X1 and the Xone K2, but I don't know whether that'd be possible on an All-in-one DJ controller.
Thank you.

It depends on the model, as many of the controllers are just that; controllers, and as such they don't have audio mixing capabilities within the hardware. What you can do is along the lines of what you're asking - use another audio interface as the output audio device, and that would allow the DDJ to be the controller but not the audio output.

I guess that's a yes.

I asked because some software won't allow to do that. It was implied in my message I intend to use an audio interface to route out the channels. Just wondering whether Rekordbox would allow me to do that, Serato wouldn't (unless you have a specific audio interface).
What a gibberish just to say yes.

We have lots of users who come in and don't read the question, just the answer.
