Xdj MK1 upgrade
Is there any chance of getting a firmware update for the mk1 that will bring some of the mk2 software features to the mk1? There is absolute no need of charging 300 bucks more for 3 more buttons and a simple firmware update.

I would appreciate it very much, but I think the chances are not so good....
But...Pioneer did this before with the DJM2000 that became the features of the DJM2000nxs with a Firmwareupdate, so i cross my fingers!
The XDJ MK1 is still a great Player and for me the MK2 cant not really do more but it can do a lot things better! ( More intuitive and cleaner UI, RGB Waveform)
The MK2 would still have more features with its new Rotary Section, but i hope that some off the UI and Software improvements find its way to the MK1!
Best case scenario: we get some (or one) additional hot cue(s). Even that is a stretch.
That said, the MK2 will be able to do things the MK1 can't due to the upgraded CPU/internal components. It looks like a nice bit of kit. That said, if you frequent Traktor/Serato I would advise sticking with the MK1.
