Driver setup

I have just purchased a ddj 1000 and the sound was crackling and tracks were slowing down. After some research this was down to my laptop being old and run down. I have purchased a MacBook pro and have installed rekordbox but no sound is coming through any of the monitors or headphone burbs coming through my laptop. I called the shop where I purchased from and was told to reinstall drivers which I have done but still nothing. Can anyone please help
